Change Is For The Better
“All change is change for the better. There is no such thing as “change for the worse.” Change is the process of Life Itself, and that process could be called by the name “evolution.” And evolution moves in only one direction: forward, and toward improvement. Therefore, when change visits your life, you can be sure things are turning for the better. It may not look that way in the very moment change arrives, but if you will wait a while and have faith in the process, you will see that this is true.”

I found this interesting research report on the value of adding AI to businesses
Quartz is incorporating AR into its news app. The company has been working on the AR feature for a few weeks and its first 3D rendering was of the Cassini probe that recently ended its Saturn mission. Quartz used ARKit tools to build the feature and obtained the 3D images of Cassini from NASA. They used the images to allow readers to virtually place the probe on a real environment to get a sense its actual size.

A Bay Area couple has created a drone that can remove graffiti remotely. Candace Marbury and Chris Farmer won San Jose, California’s “Unleash Your Geek” competition, which focused around finding solutions for removing graffiti from the city’s highways and streets. The two built a drone with a spray can that can remove graffiti remotely. The city spends about $1 million in removing graffiti each year. The grand prize of the competition was $25,000. There are still some regulatory hurdles, however, since drones are not allowed to fly over individuals.

Usually, when Apple introduces a new version of iOS they improve security. That doesn’t appear to be the case with iOS 11, which deliberately makes it harder to turn off both its Bluetooth and Wi-Fi radios. You will want to continue to use the radio buttons in the Settings screens, rather than using a new interface.
Turning off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi when you're not using them on your smartphone has long been standard, common sense,…motherboard.vice.com
Google Earth VR is getting an update and adding street-level viewing to the app. Street View VR is available as a separate app for Google Daydream and Cardboard users, but the update adds Street View to Google Earth VR for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift users. The Street View images come from 85 countries and can be viewed in 360 degrees. Google opened up the Street View API to other partners to help create more 3D content.

Researchers have analyzed Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Internet Explorer, and found Chrome to be the most resilient of the three against attacks. This is because it has a tight lockdown of components, separation of duties, and greater identifiable vendor efforts for automated vulnerability discovery.
